Send Us Your Wares: A Call for Submissions

We are currently accepting submissions of all genres of creative, printed work, including (but not limited to) fiction, poetry, non-fiction, plays, screenplays, artwork, graphic stories, comics, and so much more! We prefer works (or selections thereof) of max 3000 words, either completed work or works-in-progress. Our goal is to create a print community for emerging artists and writers to share their work and create a dialogue with others to help develop and share their pet projects. In the spirit of creativity, we're open to almost anything!

Please email all submissions to hacksawzine@gmail.com. We prefer Word or Rich Text files for written work and JPeg for graphic work.

Submission deadline is June 15, 2008.

The Fine Print: We accept simultaneous submissions, however, you must have control over the copyright of your work. We are not responsible for any legal issues that arise if another publication assumes copyright of your work. We will not assume any property rights for your work. Submissions are given on a voluntary basis and will not be subject to financial compensation.

You made it. Welcome.

You've found the Hacksaw website; we're very impressed with you. Now that you're here, it only seems natural to tell you a bit about us.

So, here goes.

Hacksaw is an emerging literary arts magazine looking to dig the bloggers out of the basement and present them into a real flesh-and-blood (or ink-and-paper more specifically) artistic community. Based out of the Greater Vancouver suburbs, Hacksaw wants to bring together all types of artistic expression. Emerging, established, and brand spanking new writers are invited to submit to us their print-based children.
